Known for many years as 'LT25', Studio White Earthenware is a very plastic white earthenware clay consisting of ball and china clays from Devon and Cornwall.

Studio White Earthenware was designed primarily for throwing.

Good 'green' strength and fires to an ivory-white colour.

Relatively high in calcium therefore leadless transparent glazes can fire 'milky'. To avoid this, select a low-solubility glaze such as Potclays 2204-100M. However, for functional ware a leadless alternative such as 2206 is recommended.
